Privacy Policy
What we collect when you register a profile, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed.
Last updated 20 Aug 2026
This policy explains what Veerbhadra Marriage Bureau collects, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to the website, the member area and to profiles held at our office.
What we collect
When you register we collect your name, mobile number, date of birth, gender, and the details you choose to add to your profile — education, occupation, family, community, lifestyle and partner preferences. We collect photographs and documents only when you upload them. If you use Kundali matching we collect your date, time and place of birth.
Why we collect it
To introduce you to other members. A matrimonial profile exists to be shown to prospective matches, and that is the primary use of everything you provide. We also use your mobile number and email to contact you about your account and, if you consent, about offers.
Who can see your profile
Verified members of the opposite gender can see the profile fields you have made visible. Photographs follow the visibility you set — everyone, members only, or only after you accept an interest. Your mobile number and email are never shown automatically; they are released only under a membership plan that includes contact details, and only when you have not restricted them.
Verification
Our staff review every profile and any documents you upload before the profile becomes visible. Documents are used for verification only. They are never shown to other members.
How long we keep it
We keep your profile while your account is active. If you close your account we remove your profile from search within seven days and delete the underlying record, including photographs and documents, within ninety days — except where we are required to retain payment records for tax purposes.
Your rights
You can view and correct your profile at any time from your account. You can hide your profile, restrict who sees your photographs, block individual members, or delete your account entirely. To request a copy of your data or ask us to erase it, write to us using the address on the contact page.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed. Photographs and documents are served through an authorisation check rather than from a public address. Access by our staff is restricted by role and recorded.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will tell registered members by email before the change takes effect.
